Non Alcoholic Drink Recipes Sugar Free Recipes These non alcoholic drinks are all super tasty, so refreshing, and some are even made made extra good with our wonder-sweetener, stevia. Of course, you may enjoy any of these without adding stevia - I just focused these recipes on sweeter flavors, which is what people tend to miss when they first give up alcohol, or when adopting a sugar free diet. A number of my non alcoholic drink recipes call for using home brewed stevia tea or liquid stevia extract. This makes the recipes pleasantly sweet while still being 100% sugar free. You can use liquid stevia extract if you don't have the tea, and stevia extract powder-packets are great for an occasional convenience when you want to take it 'on the go'. (It comes in the same size single serving packets like sugar or artificial sweeteners, except its made from stevia!) How nice it is to be able to make a quick glass of lemonade when you're out with friends by simply ordering water with an extra lemon wedge, and stirring in a bit of stevia extract! Remember - avoid stevia powders that contain maltodextrin or other sugars. The only kind of powdered stevia to use is the combination of Inulin [F.O.S] and Stevia Extract. If you choose to use this powdered form, be sure to stir the beverage as you very slowly sprinkle the powder in. Due to the high content of soluble fiber in the Inulin, it can tend to "clump up" if you just dump it in. If you are using the liquid drops or the powder, you may need to adjust the ratio of water in the recipe. Just do a taste test, and adjust the quantities accordingly. If it's too sweet, add more water. You'll find the perfect mixture for your own tastebuds. With stevia, it's always better to start with a little bit and add more if you want something sweeter. Whew! Now, with all that said, have fun with the recipes and enjoy your drink! _________________________________________________________________
